The New Addition!!!

     Yes, you read that right!  There has been a new addition here at my house.  She moved in yesterday, and I am just thrilled she's here.  Beautiful and sleek with a glossy finish, she is a total workhorse, I'm pleased to introduce.....

Daisy!!

     Daisy was an early Christmas gift to me, from my wonderful mom!  Thanks mom, I love it!!  I have had the same white, 4.5 qt mixer that was given to me as a housewarming gift from my grandma when I was 21 and moving into my first apartment in college.  That mixer has served me well for the past years, but since I have begun baking full time, I was finding myself making 3-4 batches of dough at a time.  In order to do that with the standard mixer, I would have to make each batch seperately one after the other.  What a pain!  So, now I have Daisy - she has a LOT of flour power!  Today I made royal icing...usually I double the batch.  Today I tripled the batch, and I could have easily done 5 batches!!!! 

Woo Hooo!!  Go Daisy!!!  There she is, beating up 3 batches of RI.  Look how much room there is left!  (Yes, it's running in the picture, the beater is going fast and shows up only as a faint blur.)

     I swoon over Daisy. I love the deep purr she makes when she works, and the super glossy, pearlized charcoal gray finish is gorgeous!
